Visitors who really want to get to see the local area can now request a walk of both Windsor and Eton by making a private booking below.

Windsor & Eton Walk

Our Double Walk – ‘ Windsor and Eton Walk’
This is a double walk of around 3.5 hours
Exclusive to your group only
Your own time and pace
We will meet you at the train station or coach park
You will be accompanied by an Ex Guardsman on this 3.5 hour walk
Consists of a walk in Windsor (90 mins)
Followed by a walk in Eton (90 mins) A short break will take place in between each walk.

Windsor Walk Content

The Windsor Walk consists of the history of the Normans, the building of Windsor Castle in 1070. Shakespeare visited Windsor on several occasions, find out where and what he was up to. We talk about St Georges Chapel history and the three royal weddings in 2018. Find out where the Knights of Windsor live and what they do. Nell Gwynne her two sosn from King Charles II lived in St Albans St. We visit areas of Windso’rs general history. We also visit the Long walk and find out where HRH Harry and Meghan live. Eton Walk Content

Discover the town next to Windsor that has a heritage going back to Anglo Saxon times. Eton High Street was the ancient road to London during medieval days. So all the medieval Monarchs would have traveled upon it. This is just one interesting fact about Eton.

A Walk in Eton is a ninety minute walk around Eton and it’s college. In this amazing walk we will take in the beauty of Eton as a village. Gaze at the amazing architecture and landscape. Learn about the history and facts about Eton. We will also discuss King Henry 6th and the founding of the college.  Who were the earliest influencers at Eton College and the incredible legacy of it’s famous OE’s – Old Etonians. Eton – The Gentlemen’s Factory has turned out 20 Prime Ministers. Congratulations to Boris Johnson as he becomes Prime Minister number 20 – an incredible heritage.

Also discover the important issues surrounding the management of this special land of Eton. Why are Eton’s bridges so important to the Monarchs and much more. We will look back at Eton’s spiritual life, past and present. A great experience.
